BiblioMaker 6.2 is available

BiblioMaker 6.2 is now available. This update brings the following new features :

Optimization for the Cloud

Our software has been optimized for our new offer called "BiblioMaker in the Cloud".

MARC Import

Until now, BiblioMaker could import MARC files with the ISO 2709 structure. From now on, MARCXML files can also be imported.

Importing data from the SBD.bibliotheksservice ag

The Schweizer Bibliotheksdienst sells titles and delivers the corresponding title records in digital form. From the 1st, September 2018, records files will have a new structure. BiblioMaker 6.2 has been customized in order to handle this new file format.

WebOPAC server (online catalogue)

The WebOPAC server is now more resilient to attacks from the Internet. A supervisor has been developed, that tries to restart the server if it has unexpectedly stopped working. If the start fails, a warning is sent by email to the administrator.

Tasks scheduler

The tasks scheduler can now execute the software updates : they could happen during the night in order to minimize interruptions.

Documentation

The handbook has been updated. Moreover, a new document called "Managing of loans" describes the handling of loans, renewals, reservations and returns of titles.
