New in version 7.1 : Online catalog with private access

The online catalog is intended for your library's users, who can use their web browser to search for documents, obtain their status (available/borrowed), possibly reserve them, consult their account, etc.

Until now, access to the online catalog was totally free and anonymous: if your catalog was published on the web, anyone who knew its address could consult it.

The 7.1 version of BiblioMaker provides a solution for libraries wishing to reserve their catalog to their users only: private access. Once this option is activated, any person wishing to consult the catalog will have to identify himself beforehand and enter his password recorded in his reader's record.

This feature is particularly useful for corporate libraries (such as law firms) or associations whose online catalog is hosted in the cloud.
