Update your PC to Windows 10

Microsoft released version 10 of Windows in 2015 and this version has benefited from several updates that have made it more mature. Currently, more than 50% of Windows users worldwide are running Windows 10. Previous versions - Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 - are obsolete and less and less supported by software publishers. Microsoft will also discontinue all support for Windows 7 on January 24, which creates a security risk if it is used beyond that.

If you have not already done so, we encourage you to switch to Windows 10 after making sure that your PC and the software you are using are compatible with this environment. BiblioMaker 7, available in the spring, should run on Windows 7 and 8.1 but will no longer be maintained for these systems.

When Windows 10 was released, Microsoft offered a free update to this version for Windows 7 and 8 users. This offer officially ended at the end of July 2016. However, it is still possible to legally update Windows 10 free of charge. This article explains how to proceed.
