Universal
On a Mac, on a PC running Windows, in single or multi-user, on a local network or in the cloud, whatever the size or budget of your library, there is a BiblioMaker solution just for you.
On a network, the server and client workstations can be computers under macOS or Windows. Each user has his favorite platform! The stations can of course be local or remote.
The software has an integrated web server so that your readers can query your online catalogue, make reservations or check their account from a computer, tablet or smartphone.
Working in the cloud has its advantages: you have access from any computer or tablet while you are connected to the Internet, and your data is regularly backed up.
In short... BiblioMaker is the Swiss knife of library systems!
Multi-user
Define as many users as you need and give them access permissions.
Each librarian has his or her own account. Indeed, a large number of the software's preferences are recorded individually by user, who will be able to customize the software according to their work habits.
A user is assigned his or her own permissions. For example, auxiliaries could manage readers and loans, but not modify the catalogue or access confidential data or install software updates.
Authorizations are defined very precisely and simply. In addition, if several users need to have similar permissions, just duplicate an account to copy its permissions.
Multilingual
The software can be used in English, French and German. The interface language can be adapted for each user. Outbound documents can be issued in any language you define.
Select the interface language of the software in this dialog. Thus, in a multilingual library, every librarian can work in his or her mother tongue.
You can also assign a communication language to each reader in the library, so that you can send them correspondence - such as reminders of loans - in their preferred language.
You associate a language to each of the titles in the catalog, which lets you easily find titles written in a particular language. The number of languages to choose from is not limited.

BiblioMaker is always quick, no matter how much data you need to manage. BiblioMaker is developed on a solid database engine, which optimizes the operation on multiprocessor computers and allows the processing of an unlimited volume of data. The workload is intelligently distributed between the client workstations and the server, allowing a large number of workstations to be connected. In addition, the server does not need to be equipped with a server operating system, which represents an important saving.
The management of your library must be precise, always accurate and verifiable. Thanks to numerous input controls, BiblioMaker ensures that the data is consistent, without sacrificing flexibility. A maintenance center is available within the software: backups, compaction and checks are carried out very easily. The backup also logs the changes, allowing data to be restored as it was the second before a hardware failure.
BiblioMaker is constantly evolving, whether it's adapting to changes in legislation, integrating new functions, exploiting the possibilities of new hardware or simply ensuring compatibility with new versions of Windows and macOS operating systems.
The program integrates a search function for new versions and automatically or on request installs them, either as a single station or as a client-server.
